I have researched Thirkills for 30 years and have hundreds of them, most connected with variant spellings including Threlkelds. Will try to help any enquirer. There is also now a Thirkell website, not run by be, but someone I have/and am working with. Thank you for this image, may be able to connect the rest. My own Thirkills are from Bradford and some buried at Tong. Pleased to help. My mother's maiden name Thirkill, her 2nd cousin Sir Henry Thirkill of Clare Coll Cambridge. The last of this family Fred, died in Kendal, last yearCant take photos myself, but have potted biographies Eunice Wilson
